Ispent over a decade working in environments where accuracy was expected. The work had to stand up to careful scrutiny.
My experience at PwC and Grant Thornton shaped the way I approach accounting, taxation, audit and financial reporting. I learned to follow a disciplined process and to document the work thoroughly. Later, at the William J. Clinton Foundation (India), the Indian affiliate of the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), my work related to grant compliance and the financial governance of donor-funded programmes. That included Global Fund grants.
I founded Alok K Acharya & Associates in 2024 so that I could lead every engagement myself, from start to finish.
The firm's team supports delivery, and I stay involved throughout the engagement. I do not come in only at final review.
In India, I work with individuals, businesses and NGOs on income tax, GST, audit and regulatory compliance. The firm also keeps books in QuickBooks Online for accounting firms in the US, UK and Australia.
